JoJo’s World: Tokyo Disneyland Preview

JoJo does a surprise livestream on YouTube from Tokyo Disneyland, despite it being a prohibited activity there. He previously did a vlog about the park’s policy. JoJo apologizes for starting the livestream so late (around 11:30pm EST, 1:30PM locally). He says he had an issue when he first tried to start the livestream and that’s why it was delayed.

JoJo is with his friend Jete (Jason Jeter) and they take turns teasing how great their experiences have been and how “insane” their trip vlogs are going to be. JoJo says they have been going so hard that their backs are sore, and they aren’t done yet.

JoJo talks about what it’s like there. For one things, it’s cold. Also, there is some social distancing, but even though most people wear masks, some don’t. JoJo says he and Jete wear masks since they are tourists and want to be respectful of the customs of the country. He says that everyone is so chill. The locals sit down when they watch the parades and are mindful of others.

Such a tease:

“They have no clue how cool this content’s about to be. No one has seen this. Like Tokyo is a different atmosphere. It’s a different phenomenon. It’s fantastic. Y’all just wait!.”

~ Jete

A viewer asks if JoJo is flying home first class. JoJo says no, unless someone Super Chats him $100. The always cloying “Brian” promptly sends a $100 Super Chat and writes that JoJo should know better than to challenge him. Another viewer asks about the wooly mouse ear caps that JoJo and Jete are wearing. JoJo responds by saying that the hats can only be purchased at the Tokyo park and can’t be bought online.

Jete goes to buy stuff and they set a place to meet, at the castle, because Jete doesn’t have cellular connection and so they have to arrange where to meet in advance.

JoJo walks around the hub in front of Cinderella castle. He talks low and explains it’s to be respectful of the custom there of not being loud. It’s currently a low season for the park, but that the weekend is still very busy. He notes that the Japanese guests are very respectful of others, like when they patiently wait to take photos or walk through stores.

JoJo tells viewers that he and Jete are just “hanging out” that day, their second day at the park. On the first day they were running around like chickens without heads, but this time they’re laid back. He explains that there are no annual passes right now, so if you want to come to the park, you have to get a one day park ticket, for like $60 each day. They hadn’t planned to do a second day at this park, but there’s so much left to do.

New POV:

“My mind has been opened up to so much more and I can’t comprehend or explain in just this livestream how amazing it’s been here. And I have such a deep respect for the people here. I love Tokyo Disneyland already. I already want to come back.”

~ JoJo

In the “World Bazaar” area, where Main Street usually is, JoJo records an American style marching band playing.

About the park’s Cinderella Castle, JoJo says you can walk through it and there’s a gift shop inside and a walk-through attraction. The walk-through is like the one in Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, but this one’s much bigger.

JoJo sees Alice and the Cheshire Cat and gets super excited. He wants to meet them but decides to wait for Jete. Later he see Esmerelda strolling by and he goes and talks to her, not wanting to wait for Jete any longer.

JoJo goes looking for Jete and finally finds him and takes him back to where Esmeralda was. Unfortunately, she walks away, so they go to see Alice instead. JoJo gives Jete the camera so JoJo can go talk to her.

They walk through Fantasyland, pointing out various attractions, and go to the area where the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast attraction and Gaston’s Tavern are. They say Belle gets more attention in Tokyo with a bigger castle and her own area of Fantasyland. Also, they say they really like the churros from LeFou’s.

JoJo reminds viewers that the Tokyo vlogs are coming soon. He ends with “Peace. Arigato.”
