JoJo’s World: Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

After thanking everyone who has watched his Tokyo series, JoJo tells viewers that he did a stay at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, and reminds them of his goal of having a stay at all Disney resorts worldwide. JoJo stated previously that he lost the video of his stay at the hotel. It’s clear then that the vlog is going to use Jete’s footage with voice-over by JoJo, again, as JoJo did with his Super Nintendo at Universal Studios Japan vlog.

There is video of the hotel, for which JoJo provides commentary, and it includes the exterior (“stunning”) and the lobby (“beautiful”). He says the hotel looks similar to the Grand Floridian, and “might be better in some aspects”.

Outside the hotel is a fountain with a Sorcerer Mickey theme. Post-trip JoJo says from his room at home that his plush Sorcerer Mickey (first introduced to viewers on a vlog early in his DCP) is out all the time, despite advice from a college roommate to hide it or else he would not be able to “pick up girls”. JoJo laughs, indicating that the plush is actually not stopping him from picking up girls. Whether he’s referring to his girlfriend Krista, or other girls, it’s crass.

Back in Tokyo, JoJo mentioned in a previous vlog that people can’t eat at the Tokyo Disney hotels unless they are a guest there. However, since he and Jete were staying at this one, he and Jete ate breakfast at The Dreamer’s Lounge in the hotel. He mentions that the buffet had rice balls, pancakes, Mickey pastries, and fruit juices. He says the apple juice was “insane on another level” and that it is better than in America. JoJo feels the good food prepared them for a day at a park.

JoJo talks about the themed princess banquet halls and the stores within the hotel. He talks about the variety of snacks in one of the stores and how in the other one he bought one of the fuzzy mouse eared caps that are park exclusives. Jete had bought one on the first day, so JoJo says that now they are twinning.

The video shows JoJo doing a little dance in the hotel courtyard followed by he and Jete trying a can of a Japanese lemon-lime alcoholic drink. JoJo then shows that they went to the Tokyo Disneyland park (their second day there). Soon they meet roaming Gaston, played by JoJo’s friend Jed. They talk to him as he walks along searching for Belle. She is the parade that passes by and JoJo and Jete yell to her to get her attention for Gaston. After that, JoJo and Gaston do a flex-off doing muscle poses.

After that, JoJo and Jete ride some rides, including the Beauty and the Beast ride for a second time. Afterward, Jete says, “Dude how’d that ride get better the second time? It’s unbelievable to me.” JoJo says that he plans to bring his future wife someday to see the attraction and that he doesn’t care “who, where, why.” (Krista should know that he said he doesn’t care who.)

They leave the park and go back to the hotel to finally see their room. It’s Alice in Wonderland themed. JoJo says it might be a little too “cartoony” for some older people, but JoJo likes it, especially the shower. After using the shower, they go back to the park, where they meet Rapunzel and ride the Monster, Inc. ride, which JoJo says is a top 5 ride for him.

JoJo’s overall review of the hotel is that it’s good but expensive, and the location next to the park is great. The one thing he mentioned that he didn’t like was the bed, but he says he passed out after coming back from the park, so it didn’t matter.

Post-trip JoJo says he and Jete will do a livestream answering questions people may have about their trip.
