JoJo’s World: Street Fight at DHS

JoJo is in Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Kyle Pallo and Kyle’s friend Taylor for the park’s 30th anniversary. The three are there early to see a special anniversary parade. JoJo can’t recall seeing a parade at DHS before, saying, “I’ve never, to my recollection… I don’t remember a parade, like, in Hollywood studios.” Taylor says she remembers there being one when Minnie got a star on the Walk of Fame in real Hollywood. JoJo, treating her like a third wheel to his time with Kyle, mockingly responds, “Aww, that’s precious.”

Besides Mickey and Minnie at the fromt, the parade features characters associated with Hollywood Studios, including Geen Army Men, Ariel, and the Beauty and the Beast cast. There’s also the cast of the Indiana Jones show, who perform a street fight scene right in front of JoJo and friends. Kyle mimics the fighting by giving a punch to JoJo, and JoJo kind of likes it.

JoJo is more perplexed by Ariel seemingly blowing a kiss to Kyle. JoJo wonders why the princesses and action heroes talk to Kyle but not to him. Kyle laughs and for the benefit of JoJo’s vlog tells JoJo that the real-life girls talk to him.

Another highlight of the parade is a preview of the costumes that cast members will be wearing at Galaxy’s Edge. JoJo loves it, yelling, “Fierce! Yes!”

After the parade is a ceremony in front of the theater to unveil the new Hollywood Studios logo. They watch and then go in search of the anniversary merchandise that’s for sale that day, but end up deciding the line is too long. JoJo explains, “I understand why these lines can be long, because people coming around, this might be their only day here, so of course, you know, people can’t come here every day. They’re trying to hop on that merch right now. I’m not waiting in this line though.”

After checking out some special Star Wars-themed churros, Kyle has to leave. JoJo gives a touching good-bye, literally, to Kyle to let him know how much he means to JoJo.

As a “post-credits” scene, JoJo picks up a commemorative poster as he exits the park. “Wow. Commemorative poster. That’s amazing,” JoJo says.
