JoJo’s World: Riding Every Ride at Universal

JoJo is with Cam and Austin Walker and they are at Universal, ready to do the “riding every ride” challenge at both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. They get there at 7am to get an early start. JoJo explains to viewers that they have a plan, and shows a clip of them the night before, putting it together. They intend to ride 28 rides by the time the parks close in 11 hours.

The plan doesn’t start off well. They have early admission for Universal, but they try to go to Islands of Adventure first. They have to change course when they realize the mistake.

First up, they do Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, then Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. They leave Diagon Alley by taking the Hogwarts Express to Islands of Adventure.

In Hogsmeade, they ride Flight of the Hippogriff first, and then Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, because JoJo says he has heard that the Hippogriff ride will get long lines. They’re done with it quickly and proceed to Forbidden Journey. JoJo says the last time he was on it he was “a lot smaller, three of four years ago”.

JoJo says he has never been on the next ride, Skull Island Reign of Kong. When they complete it, they have done six rides by 9am.

They move on to do Marvel rides, and quickly complete The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Storm Force Accelatron, Doctor Doom’s Fearfall, and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. JoJo says the the Hulk ride almost made him blackout from the g-force.

Next up is water rides. JoJo says, “Unfortunately, it’s time. It’s time to get wet and we’re not looking forward to it.” They do Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls and JoJo says, “Honestly, we didn’t get too wet.” Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges is a different story as JoJo acknowledges after that one that “we’re all soaked.” The third one is Jurassic Park River Adventure and JoJo says thankfully, “I didn’t get wet on this one!”

The next ride, The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride, is disappointing to JoJo. “That was a long wait for a subpar something, don’t you think?” JoJo remarks. It’s followed by the other Dr. Seuss rides: Caro-Seuss-el, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and The Cat in the Hat. With that, they finish the Islands of Adventure and JoJo says they are ready for a break. JoJo may be a little mentally fatigiued, since he incorrectly calls Island of Adventure “Great Adventure”, “Adventureland”, and “Adventure Island”.

They do two more rides: Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, which JoJo says is his favorite (“It’s a good time”), and Shrek 4-D (“That was truly torture”). They finally take the break, getting burgers for lunch.

To finish off the challenge, they go on Transformers, E.T. Adventure, Woody Woodpecker, The Simpsons Ride, Men in Black, Fast & Furious, and Race Through New York, using single rider lines where possible. The last ride of the day is Revenge of the Mummy.

After the whole challenge has been completed, they get a celebratory drink and give themselves a round of applause.

[5/5]  It’s a good way to see what all the rides are in the two parks and get a feel for what they’re like.
