JoJo’s World: Riding Every Ride at Tokyo DisneySea

JoJo and Jete attempt a riding all rides challenge at Tokyo DisneySea, on the same day as JoJo’s livestream at the park.

At the start of the day, JoJo and Jete are at the park for rope drop, before the park opens at 9am. JoJo is again impressed by Japan’s culture, due to everyone being orderly in entering the park.

The first ride of the day is 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, at Mysterious Island. JoJo likes that there is a control inside the ride vehicle that he can use to shine a spotlight at the underwater scenery during the ride. After the ride, JoJo notes that now the time is 9:49am and they have completed one ride.

They walk by Mermaid Lagoon without going in it. JoJo says, “The Mermaid Lagoon is crazy. It blew my mind. There’s a bunch of kiddie rides inside which unfortunately…” and Jete finshes with “we have to do.” Having skipped Mermaid Lagoon for the moment, they go instead to Arabian Cost (or Agrabah). There JoJo sees Jafar and Abu, and JoJo is very excited by that and talks to both of them, of course.

For their next ride, they go on Caravan Carousel in Arabian Coast, because, JoJo says, “If you see a ride with no wait time, just go on it.” It’s 10am and they ride the second level of the carousel. “This is actually so awesome because I love Aladdin. You guys know I do and they’re playing his music.” They follow the spin on the carousel with a ride on Jasmine’s Flying Carpets.

At 10:21am, they hit their first snag. The ride JoJo wants to go on, Indiana Jones in the Lost River Delta, has a 60 minute wait. They decide to come back later. (If they did, it isn’t shown.)

Back to Arabian Coast, they ride Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage. Jete describes it as being like It’s a Small World but with Sinbad. Jete points out that the animatronics are good. JoJo agrees that the technology is impressive and that “Sinbad’s the man!”

Next is Flounders Flying Fish Coaster in Mermaid Lagoon. JoJo relates it to Barnstormer. Since it’s a kiddie ride, it’s not surprising that JoJo says, “This is a really tight squeeze in the back.” After the coaster is another kid’s ride, Scuttle Scooters. JoJo explains that his strategy is to do all the small rides first.

It can be determined that JoJo’s livestream from Tokyo DisneySeas occurred before the next clip, in which JoJo and Jete are in American Waterfront and Jete has the new pullover he bought during the livestream.

The quest continues and JoJo and Jete use Premier Access to book Toy Story Mania, which otherwise has a 110 minute wait. The get on the ride at 1:30pm. JoJo thinks the queue does a good job of making it seem like being in Andy’s room.

After that, it’s Aquatopia in Port Discovery. The water fountains are turned off because of wind, but JoJo thinks it would be better with them on. He wonders which is worse, wind or rain. Jete says definitely rain.

They go to the area of Mediterranean Harbor near a galleon and JoJo interprets it as a pirate area. He tries to do a pirate accent and Jete tells him that the accent is “mighty bad”. JoJo says they should be hustling more, but explains that Jete needed to get food. We know from the livestream that Jete wasn’t able to get lunch when JoJo did, so it would be expected for him to be hungry. Jete gets a teriyaki chicken leg from Refrescos. Speaking of pirates, Jack Sparrow wanders by and asks for some of Jete’s food. Jete offers but Jack doesn’t take it.

They go a short distance to Journey to the Center of the Earth at Mysterious Island. They use Premier Access to bypass the long line. Jete’s review of the ride is that he is “astounded”. JoJo says, “The animatronics, especially at Tokyo DisneySea are insane. I love them. I wish I’d seen more of them. They’re like the Na’vi shaman at Pandora, like times five.”

Next is Soaring: Fantastic Flight. It has a 140 minute wait. Inside, JoJo notes it’s like a museum, covering different parts of the world. After the ride, he says it seemed to have higher quality than Epcot’s. This is followed by Nemo and Friends Searider and DisneySea Electric Railway.

In DisneySea’s version of Tower of Terror, JoJo says the lobby is awesome and that he loves the story behind the attraction. JoJo and Jete agree that of the three Towers of Terror that they’ve been on, this is number three, saying it’s “tame”.

They go on Raging Spirits, which has a 55 minute wait. JoJo goes to get food while Jete stays in line. It’s reminiscent of when JoJo went to get food for former girlfriend Mel at Disneyland. She had asked for a hot dog and failing that he brought her a churro instead. Funny enough, he again buys churros (chai spiced). Unlike perplexed Mel, who properly wondered why someone would bring her a churro when she asked for a hot dog, Jete says this is what he needs.

Unfortunately for JoJo, they have to wait in line since JoJo can’t use cast member connections to get in front of other guests like at Disney World. After the ride, JoJo and Jete say it’s too quick to justify the long wait.

They watch Believe! Sea of Dreams, which they had seen before and which JoJo said had made him cry. JoJo says we can’t see his previous viewing of the show, but he’s going to record it again. He overdubs the show music to avoid copyright strike.

After the show, the remaining rides are within Triton’s Kingdom. There they do Jumping Jellyfish and The Whirlpool. There is one more ride to complete there, and JoJo and Jete push hard to do it before park close. The last one is Blowfish Balloon Race and Jete is ready to pass out from fatigue. They finish the ride, and their riding all rides quest, right before 9pm.
