JoJo’s World: New Indiana Jones Bar

JoJo and his girlfriend Krista are at Disney’s Hollywood Studios late in the day. “We got some new stuff to talk about and show off,” JoJo says as his introduction. The conversation turns to their favorite rides, with Krista stating that hers is the Tower of Terror. JoJo, however, dismisses the idea of going on it due to the long wait times from summer crowds. “I don’t think we’re gonna go on that today,” he says, “it looks like it’s still pretty busy.”

They make their way to Walt Disney Presents, where JoJo comments on the new character meet and greets. “I actually haven’t seen the new character meet and greets,” he says, “Ariel from the live-action movie, she’s here, but they close around four to five.” He also mentions Edna Mode’s meet and greet, which is closed for the day.

Next, they visit Toy Story Land. JoJo says it’s better than Toy Story Playland in Disneyland Paris, “Disneyland Paris is, it’s kind of old, you know. This is the newer version.” He mentions the Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the new restaurant in Toy Story Land. He tells viewers to check out his vlog of when he went there with his mother and sister.

JoJo talks about Toy Story Mania, his favorite ride, and how he hasn’t been on it for a while due to long wait times. He also mentions that he used to ride Slinky Dog more often, because he knew cast members who would allow him to cut in line ahead of paying guests.

In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, JoJo talks about the Star Cruiser and it going away. He contemplates whether he should visit it one more time before it closes. JoJo muses, “they made the announcement that the star Cruiser the Stars hotel is going away. I haven’t been here since that, so it’s kind of sad to see the entrance right over there knowing that soon it’s gonna go away.”

They have to return to Toy Story Land so Krista can eat. They go to Woody’s Lunch Box, where Krista gets the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. While Krista is eating, JoJo discusses incidents where guests jumped off rides at Disney parks, including one at Epcot’s Three Caballeros ride and another at the Guardians of the Galaxy ride. Despite his own disregard for rules, JoJo emphasizes the importance of safety and following rules. “Moral of the story is don’t jump out of rides and be nice to cast members,” he says, “listen to the rules.”

Back in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, JoJo and Krista discuss their favorite Star Wars characters. Krista says hers is Darth Vader. “My favorite Star Wars character is Darth Vader,” she says, “because he’s freaking sick.”

Near the Indiana Jones show, they visit a new pop-up bar, Indiana Jones Den of Destiny, themed around the new movie, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. “With the new Indiana Jones movie coming out they reopened the gift store, but they’ve turned it into a bar as well,” JoJo says, looking at its exterior. Inside, JoJo talks about the movie memorabilia on display and how he appreciates the effort Disney put into creating a themed space that immerses visitors in the world of Indiana Jones. He wishes that Disney would do more themed things like this, as Universal does.

At the bar, they both get the Adventuress Margarita. JoJo takes a sip and finds it very sweet, with a lot of flavor and very potent.

They move on and check out new Star Wars merchandise elsewhere in the park. Among other things he shows is a BD-1 droid from the Fallen Order video game series and and a Aurebesh alphabet translation guide that he calls, “my favorite thing that they sell.”

They leave the park quickly due to an incoming rainstorm. By the time they get to the parking lot, the rain is coming down and so they run to avoid getting drenched. As they run, JoJo yells at Krista that she wouldn’t let him park close. Inside JoJo’s car, Krista says that JoJo left her locked out of the car in the rain. He tries to minimize it by saying it was only for “two seconds”. Krista demonstrates how slow JoJo had been in unlocking the car, and JoJo, who hates being criticized (“We get it! I was a little slow!”), tries to change the subject.

The vlog ends with JoJo saying, “Now I got to drive home in this rain. I’ll see you in the next one.”

[3/5]  JoJo uses a lot of filler in his vlogs, and this is an example of that happening. If you are making a vlog about the new pop-up bar, Indiana Jones Den of Destiny, then focus on that and stay on topic. He billed the vlog as being about the new bar and about the guest leaving the ride vehicle, both of which could have been their own vlog topic. On top of that, he throws in material that is not relevant to either topic. If viewers want to get the information on either topic, they have to search through the vlog to find it.
