JoJo’s World: MNSSHP 2023

JoJo attends the first night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. He says he’s dressed as a modern social media influencer version of King Arthur. He explains, “Instead of becoming the ruler of England and pulling the sword, I became a fashion content creator. I am Arthur, the social media star.”

He starts off by looking at the Halloween merchandise, some of which he saw at the Halfway to Halloween event. He shows the event map but he plans to jump into the action without a plan.

JoJo goes down the side path for the event and gets his trick-or-treat bag. He meets up with his friend Ryan, and says, “Ryan is running the show tonight. He has a full agenda for us.” The first order of business is to get an Instagram Story of JoJo in his costume trying to pull the sword from the stone. “Or this costume wouldn’t be worth it,” JoJo explains. As usual, he is not successful pulling the sword.

Next, JoJo and Ryan go on The Little Mermaid ride to cool off because of the oppressive heat. Afterward, they meet Ariel and Prince Eric. Eric, played by his friend Nick Lamb, has no idea what JoJo is dressed as.

JoJo walks through Fantasyland and compliments park guests on their costumes. He talks to the evil stepsisters, who, like everyone, are confused by his costume. JoJo explains he’s a modern version of King Arthur who never pulled the sword and who became a fashion influencer instead. Later on, JoJo throws away the costume’s $7 blonde wig he bought from Amazon, saying it’s too hot to wear.

For event advice, JoJo tells viewers they should skip the first castle stage show of the night because it will be less crowded later. However, he sticks around and watches it.

JoJo cut himself when he tried to lift the sword, so he goes to First-Aid to get a bandage. He shows his bandaged hand and says, “They’re called battle scars, everybody.”

JoJo then watches the first Boo to You Halloween Parade and sees Daisy, Clarabelle, and Minnie dressed as the Sanderson Sisters, which is new. “That is one of my favorite parades, hands down. If you’re coming to this event, make sure you take the time to see it for yourself,” he says. JoJo also advises coming to the event later in the year because it’s so hot at the moment. “I’m sweating like a horse,” he remarks candidly.

Next, Ryan takes JoJo to meet Jack Skellington and Sally. There’s a long line, and JoJo leaves it to go to the restroom. Stepping outside, JoJo takes the opportunity to watch all of the fireworks. After the show, he returns to the Jack and Sally line and rejoins Ryan. Ryan, dressed as Lock from The Nightmare Before Christmas, tells Jack he doesn’t have “Sandy Claws” and apologizes. Jack forgives him.

JoJo then power walks to the meet and greet for the Seven Dwarfs, but decides the line is too long. He does get to see them, but not meet them. While still in Storybook Circus, JoJo meets Goofy, who is dressed as a pirate. JoJo asks him to rate his pirate voice. Despite earlier saying people shouldn’t skip seeing the first show, he now says watching the first show and parade is a good strategy for meeting characters afterward, since he believes there is less wait time as other people watch the second show and parade.

JoJo and Ryan run into Eric and Ariel again, and they get Eric to do a squawking impression of the bird Scuttle.

At the end of the night, as JoJo moves toward the exit, he runs into crowds watching the second parade. He has to wait, and then he decides to wait some more on Main Street, knowing the line for the monorail will be long. In his determination to leave the event, he forgets to record a vlog ending at the park and later adds one from his room while editing the vlog.
