JoJo’s World: JoJo Starts His DCP

A new Disney vlogger has arrived at Disney World, ready to post videos about his Disney College Program (DCP). His name is “JoJo” and his channel is “JoJo’s World”. He has posted videos before this one as a lead-in to the start of his DCP, but this is his first vlog actually at Disney World.

JoJo starts his video by announcing that it’s the day he’s leaving home and moving to Florida. The journey begins with him saying good-bye to his parents, and then driving from his New Jersey home to the Amtrak Auto Train station in Virginia. From there he’ll take the train to Florida. JoJo claims it’s the first time he has traveled out of state by himself, but in a previous video, he traveled from NJ to NY by himself.

At the Virginia station JoJo meets Austin and Nikki, who are also going to Disney World for the College Program. Austin was supposed to be one of JoJo’s roommates during the DCP, but it didn’t work out. On the train, JoJo introduces himself to many people who, coincidentally, are also in the DCP on their way to Disney World.

An Invitation:

“If you ever see me in Disney World please come up to me and we can just dance, okay. I love dancing, I love talking to people. We don’t just, we don’t have to dance, but I do like talking to people and getting to learn people’s stories, so if you see me in the park, if you’re down at the park, hit me up. We’ll dance, we’ll talk, we’ll have a good time.”

At the end of the overnight trip, they arrive in Sanford, Florida. JoJo gets his car and he and some of his new temporary “train friends” go to breakfast at a Cracker Barrel.

Afterward, JoJo drives to Disney Springs. Sitting in his car, JoJo says he received a gift from a college friend named Jeff and that the gift will “help me a lot up here.” That makes JoJo cry, but he quickly makes himself laugh when he sees himself in the bright green plastic poncho he puts on to walk in the rain.

JoJo walks around Disney Springs and talks to some randos at House of Blues. His mission, though, is to find the pop-up store for his favorite video game, Kingdom Hearts. On his search for the store, he walks by Candy Cauldron and mentions that he loves the store but bought way too much candy there previously, so is skipping it this time. He also mentions that he hasn’t been to Disney Springs since its name was changed from Downtown Disney.

Before JoJo gets to the Kingdom Hearts store, he runs into Christian, another almost roommate. They go the store and play the game. Afterward, JoJo goes to World of Disney, where he says his favorite characters are Steamboat Willie and Stitch. JoJo then visits one of his favorite stores, the LEGO® Store, followed by a visit to Enzo’s Hideaway for a drink. He orders an Italian beer and makes the bartender say the name of it with an Italian accent.

Later on, JoJo checks into his hotel for the night. JoJo takes a nap before going to the airport to pick-up Keith, who viewers can assume is an actual DCP roommate. They return to the hotel and JoJo says they will check-out the nightlife that night and then check in for the DCP in the morning. He ends the vlog by shouting, “Let’s have some fun! That’s what I’m saying!”

[5/5]  JoJo’s initial vlog from Disney World comes off genuine and heartfelt. From the start of his journey to adventures in Disney Springs, there’s a raw authenticity that’s refreshing. Based on this first look, the Disney College Program series on “JoJo’s World” promises to be an engaging watch for those following along.
