JoJo’s World: IMG Worlds of Adventure

JoJo and Jake drive to IMG Worlds of Adventure, an indoor theme park in Dubai. As they approach, Jake exclaims, “More like OMG,” but immediately thinks better of it and tells JoJo not to include the statement in the vlog.

Once inside the park, JoJo is immediately drawn to its Marvel zone. It reminds him of Universal Studios. They meet the Hulk, who tries to punch JoJo. JoJo says, “That was the best meet and greet I’ve ever had! He tried to punch me!”

JoJo and Jake’s first ride is Thor Thunder Spin. It spins very fast with no seat belt and that freaked them out. JoJo admits, “I had fun, but I actually don’t want to go on that ride again, strictly because I didn’t feel safe.”

Next, they skip the Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge ride due to the long line. That prompts them to upgrade their ticket to a Fast Track ticket for an additional $50. They only have three more hours to spend at the park because they have plans to go to a pool afterward.

As they explore the park, they come across a parade of Cartoon Network characters, including Finn and Jake.

They then visit one of the main attractions, The Haunted Hotel, a maze of corridors and changing scenery where guests encounter various scary characters against a ghoulish backdrop. JoJo and Jake find The Haunted Hotel spooky but not comparable to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal.

They ride the Predator rollercoaster, which features a straight vertical drop. Jake comments, “That ride was pretty sick.” They also enter the Adventure Forest playground, where JoJo and Jake go down a fast slide. They ride the Velociraptor coaster, which goes outdoors into the desert heat, leaving JoJo feeling disoriented.

Back in the Marvel zone, they ride The Avengers Battle of Ultron. Jake feels the 3D in the attraction is good. They also ride the Spider-Man ride and “Adventure Time – The Ride of Ooo with Finn and Jake.” In the Cartoon Network zone, they meet Finn and Jake, and JoJo dances along with them. They ride The Amazing Ride of Gumball, a shooting game, and then JoJo dances along while watching a “Desi Dance Party.”

JoJo and Jake eat at Chang’s Golden Dragon restaurant, where JoJo appreciates that the menu looks like a comic book. They ride Avengers Flight of the Quinjets, a spinning ride, and end their time at the park watching a performance of characters from all the park’s zones.

Jake’s assessment of the park is that it is not OMG, stating, “There’s a lot of Cartoon Network and I don’t watch Cartoon Network.” Asking himself if it is worth coming to the park, JoJo answers, “Maybe, if you’re staying in Dubai and you’re bored and you want to bring your kids somewhere, or they’re big fans of Cartoon Network or Marvel, then come through.”
