JoJo’s World: How to Pull the Sword

JoJo is at Magic Kingdom, his least favorite park, he says. He’s there to see some friends from out of town, but says he will be talking about the Sword in the Stone. JoJo states that he will provide “tips and tricks” for how to pull it successfully. However, he reminds viewers that he himself has never been able to pull it. He shares a clip of his failed attempt at Disneyland Paris, where the sword wiggled but remained in place.

Inside the park. JoJo watches the Festival of Fantasy parade. He comments on the nostalgia and excitement that the parade music brings. He watches the parade while standing next to the flagpole, and shares his experience. “I’m standing right next to the flagpole, so you see everything happening at the same time. Like, I don’t know, like all the floats are just around me right now, and I’m hearing all the different music. Classic. It could be a little overwhelming for some people, but for me, not at all. I love this.”

During the parade, Belle and Beast wave at him from their float, making his day. “Belle and Beast were 100% just giving me so much attention, and I felt so loved,” he says.

JoJo walks toward Frontierland, where he says his friends are riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. He claims he is prioritizing his friends over his quest to pull the sword, although it’s evident that he’s prioritizing using them for content.

JoJo makes a stop at the Christmas Shoppe along the way. He says it’s a good place for a break and also where you can send a letter to Santa any time of the year.

JoJo’s perspective of Disney parks has changed after traveling around the world and experiencing different ones. While walking through Frontierland, he admits that the Magic Kingdom’s is no longer his favorite version. Disneyland Paris’s version is 100% his favorite.

However, JoJo is excited about the upcoming changes to Splash Mountain, which will become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. He expresses his hope for the inclusion of Dr. Facilier in the new ride, stating, “If they don’t have Dr. Facilier in this, I’m going to be so upset.”

At the Haunted Mansion, JoJo meets up with Juju (“Straw Hat Goofy). Prioritizing content, JoJo tells Juju he wants Juju to attempt to pull the sword with him. Juju agrees to it.

They ride Haunted Mansion first. On the ride, JoJo and Juju share their excitement for the upcoming Haunted Mansion movie.

Next, they meet Peter Pan, who gives them some advice on pulling the sword from the stone: “Maybe you need to get like a bunch of Lost Boys together, and all of you at the same time, all pull together, but you gotta use your happy thoughts. Happy thoughts are the only thing that make things fly. So get about, I’d say, 50 to a 100 Lost Boys together.” JoJo replied, “Perfect!”

Without taking Peter Pan’s advice, JoJo and his friend Juju fail to pull the sword from the stone when they attempt it.

JoJo laments, “I don’t actually know the movie behind this annoying thing that I’ve never been able to pull,” so Juju explains the story. JoJo’s take on it is that “it’s all about finding your true potential.” Juju follows that by stating, “the potential that you didn’t believe that you had.”

Commitment to a gimmick:

“And to anyone who’s like, ‘Oh, I’m getting so tired of your sword in the stone content,’ I don’t care.”

Nearby at Sir Mickeys, JoJo and Juju meet up with Jess (“Female Peter Parker”), who is getting pixie-dusted. Together they go to Pinocchio Village Haus, where JoJo gets the All-Meat Flatbread. “I was gonna get Taco Bell but, hey, you know what, my friends are eating, I’ll eat,” he says.

JoJo watches his friends creating content for TikTok, appreciating the experience of hanging out with other content creators. “It’s always fun when I get to go to the parks with content creators compared to just my regular friends because we do things that normally we wouldn’t be doing,” he says.

His friends leave the park to go to a H2O Splash media event at Typhoon Lagoon. JoJo says he would like to go with them, but since he can go whenever he wants, he doesn’t go with them. It’s not clear if he was actually invited though.

For the remainder of the vlog, JoJo provides his tips for pulling the sword from the stone. These include attempting during the day when there’s a crowd, being a child or older adult, wearing a celebratory pin, and not lying about your birthday. Despite his lack of success, JoJo remains undeterred. “I will never give up,” he declares, making it clear that he will keep milking this bit for as long as he can keep racking up views with it.
