JoJo’s World: Hei Hei Cone

JoJo Crichton with Hei Hei cone at Magic Kingdom

JoJo is at Magic Kingdom and not sure what he and his friends are going to do there – other than he wants to try the new Hei Hei cone at Aloha Isle. (“You know your boy wants to try it.”) He says he’s seen a lot of people getting it when he’s been at work in Adventureland.

JoJo walks to Liberty Square and there meets Kyle Pallo, who is with people whom JoJo doesn’t introduce (note: they are Kyle’s roommate Austin and Kyle’s friend Taylor). Kyle has an important issue: he has lost his umbrella. JoJo says it’s special, a “season passholder umbrella”. Kyle walks quickly back to where he had left it and JoJo asks, “Will he find his babe? Who knows.” Kyle responds, “I have already. Belle.” JoJo presses Kyle to explain the importance of the umbrella and Kyle says it has no importance, he just hates losing things. He returns to the checkerboard table near Main Street where he left the umbrella and it’s gone. “Rest in peace to the umbrella,” Kyle laments.

Kyle goes inside the Emporium to get a new umbrella, but JoJo hears the sound of a parade and with Kyle prompting him, runs out to watch. JoJo states again that being in the Move It! Shake It! parade is his dream job.

The group goes to Aloha Isle, and there, cast member Kasper explains the new Hei Hei treat is pineapple at the bottom, raspberry at the top, with candy eyes and candy mouth. The official description is “Blue Cone filled with a layer of Pineapple DOLE Whip®, Raspberry Soft-serve, Sugar-Piece Eyes and a Sour Candy ‘Comb’”. Kyle and JoJo each get one. JoJo remarks about the treat’s appearance, “Look at this thing. It’s a chicken.” They both like it.

The Review:

“It’s pretty good, actually. The raspberry on top, the Dole Whip. The cone is just a cone, but it’s actually really good. The candy too.”

The group then goes to Tomorrowland and boards the PeopleMover. Kyle seems to take a nap and Austin, unable to figure out where his favorite ride Space Mountain is, says, “I don’t even know where I’m at.” After that, they go the Laugh Floor, where JoJo says he is kind of worried that one of them will be selected to participate in the show. Kyle says he hopes so, but it doesn’t happen.

After the show, Kyle goes to work and Taylor disappears, leaving JoJo and Austin to chill together. They need to kill time for thirty minutes until it’s time for their Buzz Lightyear Fastpass. JoJo talks to Snow White in front of the train station and listens to both the barbershop quartet on Main Street and the piano player at Casey’s. He and Austin go to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and there JoJo beats Austin, but neither gets Galactic Hero.

To eat, they go to Pinocchio Village Haus. JoJo says it’s the first time ever for Austin and the second time for himself. After that, Austin leaves for work and JoJo watches the Rainy Day Cavalcade. JoJo is so enamored with the cavalcade, he clutches the pearls and says, “That was so precious.” With that, JoJo ends the vlog.

[3/5]  The review of the Hei Hei cone is barely adequate, but in addition to that, there’s a presentaion of unplanned experiences that guests can have while at Magic Kingdom. JoJo meets a character, listens to the Main Street Quartet and the Casey’s Corner Pianist, and watches the Rainy Day Cavalcade. That gives the video a little more value.
