JoJo’s World: Food & Wine Festival Preview

JoJo is at Epcot discussing his excitement for the upcoming Food & Wine Festival. He also mentions that he’s going to play a game where if anyone recognizes him in the park, they will get a free prize. His goal is to go as inconspicuously as possible through the World Showcase, previewing the festival’s food booths while avoiding detection.

First, he stops in a gift shop and buys a Pixar ball keychain to use as a game prize. He then begins discussing the booths, starting with Shimmering Sips and its range of mimosas. Next is the Australia booth, with its grilled shrimp, lamb chops, and yellow cake. The Canada booth is keeping its popular Canadian cheddar and bacon soup, about which, JoJo says, “I’ve had it many times. It’s so good, even when it’s a hot day. That’s how good it is.”

JoJo interrupts his food booth preview with meeting the character Dr. Facilier. They discuss Mama Odie and gumbo.

JoJo says he loved meeting the character, but was worried it would jeopardize his mission, and it did. Someone recognized JoJo and he gave them the keychain as the reward. However, since it happened too quickly, JoJo decides to continue the game all around the World Showcase.

Moving on from Dr. Facilier, JoJo highlights the Ireland booth, which retains its seafood pie and chocolate pudding cake offerings. JoJo buys a Minnie pin in a UK pavilion store to replace the keychain, but a family from Oklahoma quickly claims the prize. He has to replace it with a pin from the France pavilion, where he also disusses the popular France food booth and its beignets and strawberry rosé mimosa.

JoJo talks about the Belgium food booth before going to see Jasmine. He asks her for tips on hiding. Her advice is not to smell like Abu, since the smell makes him easy to find. “I was really hoping Jasmine was going to give me some like sound advice about how to stay sneaky and she basically told me to don’t be smelly,” JoJo lamented. He follows that with a preview of the Greece food booth, mentioning its spanakopita and moussaka and that he doesn’t know what that is.

JoJo shows particular excitement about Japan’s booth, which has sushi roll, taco roll, and Wagyu beef bowl on the menu. He says, “I have a feeling that Japan might be one of the top three booths for this upcoming Festival.” Being JoJo, he’s also excited about the drinks with alcohol, listing off a cocktail, a sake, and an ale. (“Wow! All right I’m coming here first!”)

At the Flavors of America booth, JoJo highlights the Italian beef sandwich, seafood stew, and corn tortilla chips. He points out that because there is no festival currently going on, Epcot is much emptier than normal. JoJo remarks that it’s a great time to visit Epcot if you want shorter lines and just want to see the park’s regular sights and rides. Being JoJo, he of course notes it’s a “perfect day to just grab drinks.”

He meets Snow White in Germany and asks her for hiding tips, and she suggests hiding behind the wishing well. He regrets not taking her advice, because he’s found by a viewer. After giving the viewer the pin prize, he has to replace it with something from a store in Germany. He gets a Mickey pretzel ornament.

While in Germany, he previews its booth, mentioning the schinkennudeln, bratwurst, and apple strudel. He then details options at The Alps booth, including dark chocolate fondue with berries. Spain’s booth has a charcuterie board and several sangrias.

JoJo is found again and there goes the Mickey pretzel ornament. At Italy’s booth, JoJo lists the beef meatballs, cavatelli, and lemon ricotta cheesecake. In an Italy store, he buys the next prize, a Mickey lemon pin. “I’m finding all the cute merchandise today!” he exclaims.

At the Kenya booth, JoJo describes the returning coffee barbecued beef tenderloin and shrimp and citrus couscous. Moving on to India, JoJo sadly points out the lack of the bread sampler they had before last year, but says the curry-spiced crispy cheese with mango-curry ketchup is something he would definitely like to eat. At China, JoJo highlights the new crispy duck bao buns on the menu. He is eager to try them, having enjoyed bao buns previously at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. He also calls out the popular passion fruit bubble tea.

For the Mexico booth, JoJo walks through the brand new menu offerings including tostada carnitas, taco de costilla, “pastel impossible”, and Mexican flan. After being spotted again and relieved of the prize, JoJo goes into the Disney Traders shop to buy a replacement. He settles on a “J” for Jiminy Cricket keychain. JoJo talks about conscience and says sometimes he feels like he needs one. Truer words have never been spoken.

At the Flavors from Fire booth, JoJo highlights the skirt steak taco. “That does sound very appetizing. I mean you hit me with anything with steak or taco, I’m good.” He’s then found by another family and they get the keychain. JoJo goes into the Creations shop and buys a little plush Stitch with guitar keychain for the next prize. At The Fry Basket, JoJo notes the new pickle fries with dill ranch. “That sounds absolutely mouth-watering! This may be the first thing I get,” he states.

Last, JoJo talks about Brew-wing at the Odyssey, which he says, “is actually what I’m most excited for”. He goes through the varieties of chicken wings, including orange-cardamom wings, traditional buffalo wings, buffalo chicken tenders, scotch bonnet pepper-curry wings, peanut butter and jelly sticky wings, and garlic-parmesan wings. He also describes the place as “a solid drink spot”. Having not been found again by the time the vlog ended, JoJo says he will keep the little Stitch and maybe give it away if he plays the game again in another park.
