JoJo’s World: Festival of the Arts 2024

JoJo Crichton is at Epcot for the first day of the 2024 Festival of the Arts. To add some variety to how he reports a festival opening day, he’s going to eat only what the person in front of him orders at the festival food booths.

At the Craftsman’s Courtyard food booth, JoJo orders what the person in front of him got, which is Grilled Pork Belly. His plan doesn’t start off well. “I’m really sad that I didn’t get the steak,” he says, referring to the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak on the menu. “It looked so much more appetizing than this.” He says he’s not a fan of the flavor and he would have liked the steak more.

Next, JoJo gets the Carne Asada at El Artista Hambriento food booth. Before he eats it, he talks to his friend Alice Clark Payne and says he likes that people dress up really artsy for the festival. To compliment Alice on how she looks, in JoJo fashion he tells her, “You look like a rainbow. You look like Figment decided to throw up, in like a, in a cool way though.”

Besides the Carne Asada, which he rates an 8 out of 10, JoJo had also been given the Tostada de Langosta at the booth. The Carne Asada is chipotle-marinated beef sirloin, grilled queso fresco, Nopales salad with queso fresco foam and chicharron dust. The Tostada de Langosta is chilled lobster with chipotle aïoli, onions and mango on a fried corn tortilla with guacamole, shredded cabbage and hot sauce.

Alice wants to try his tostada, but as she bites into it, it crumbles and some of it falls on her and him. He asks her was it good at least. She says yeah.

As JoJo roams the park, he watches the JAMMitors and dances while a saxophone player plays. He visits the Shanghai Disney Resort Gallery in the China pavilion and talks positively about the event having Broadway performers and animation classes at the America Gardens Theatre.

Throughout the vlog, JoJo shows examples of the art for sale. Like he always does at this festival, he says he plans someday to buy an artwork during the festival.

As JoJo thinks about where to eat next, he not surprisingly says, “I did absolutely zero research on what’s new here, so I’m stressing. I don’t, I don’t know where to go.”

Somehow JoJo finds his way to The Artist’s Table food booth. There he orders the Hummingbird Cake, since that’s what the person in front of him got. The Hummingbird Cake is a banana and pecan cake dipped in cream cheese icing with caramel sauce and warm pineapple compote. JoJo says the cake is really good. He adds, “This is actually a fun challenge, because I’m trying things I would never normally get.”

At the Goshiki food booth, JoJo tries the Wagyu Bun, since that’s what the person in front of him ordered. The Wagyu Bun is a steamed bun filled with American wagyu beef served with green shiso sauce. JoJo says the Wagyu Bun is absolutely delicious, but says, “I’m surprised, though. For a second I thought I got something else, because I was expecting wagyu not be in a little thing, a dough boy thing.”

After his bun, he runs into a patron from his Patreon. With JoJo finally deciding to show some respect to his people on Patreon, to make as much money as he can from them, JoJo thanks the guy and other patrons for supporting him. It’s literally the least he can do.

Next, at L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise food booth, he runs into Adam The Woo and Tim Tracker. Adam asks about JoJo’s cameraman and JoJo tells him it’s Farris. After that we see Farris for the first time in the vlog.

JoJo says the food booth’s line is the longest line he’s waited in all day. Tim looks annoyed by JoJo’s whining and tells him he’s only been waiting two minutes. JoJo rolls with it. He gets the Crème de Brie en Petit Pain, a warm creamy brie in a house-made bread bowl.

In conclusion, JoJo says, “With all that being said, everybody, first day of Epcot Festival of the Arts 2023 [sic] was more fun than I thought. I think getting random food really spiced up my day.”

He says his favorite food was the Carne Asada from the El Artista Hambriento booth.
