JoJo’s World: Festival of the Arts 2023

It’s the first day of the International Festival of the Arts and JoJo is trying to find parking, but it’s very crowded . “I always forget how large of a crowd the first day of festivals attract,” he says. He parks very far back since the lot is so full.

JoJo doesn’t have an agenda for the evening. He says he’s just there to enjoy the festival. He does advise viewers to watch his previous vlog (about his announcement of his trip to Tokyo), since he will be talking about the trip in this one.

Once he’s in the park, JoJo shows some of the chalk art on the ground, which includes Minnie Mouse and other characters. He doesn’t like being outside though, because he thinks it’s too cold. “I do not like the cold,” JoJo claims. “It literally like shuts down my brain. I feel like it’s harder for me to act when I get cold.”

He heads inside at the Odyssey pavilion, which is now the location of “Figment’s Inspiration Station” for the duration of the festival.

In Figment’s, JoJo shows the pickup spot for the Figment popcorn buckets. He also shows some of the station’s special food and drink offerings. There’s a rainbow beer flight that he tries. “Oh my God!” JoJo exclaims. “It’s actually rainbow! That’s so cool, I love that. Wow, that made me happy.”

There’s also art for sale in the pavilion and JoJo says that every year at Festival of the Arts he wants to buy some for his room. “I truly love art. I just don’t have enough space or the time to put a lot in my house, apartment,” he claims.

He shows his room frequently in his vlog, and it can be seen that he has space, and he certainly has the time.

Moving on, he shows artist booths at the festival. He also says he is hungry, but laments that the lines for the food booths are too long. At the American Gardens Theatre, JoJo watches as Disney on Broadway performers Kara Lindsay from Newsies and Kevin Massey from Tarzan sing.

JoJo runs into Alice Clark Payne, Emily Nelson, and Jessica. He goes with them into the department store in the Japan pavilion, where he gets a sushi donut.

While he eats, JoJo talks about concerns from viewers regarding vlogging rules in Japan. JoJo says that he believes that the American media has blown the rules against vlogging out of proportion. He says he sees others posting videos from the park, but claims he’ll respect the rules and traditions of Japan. “I’m going to have a good time even if I ended up not making any videos. Just me having the opportunity to go out to Japan and experience a different culture would literally impact my life so much. I’m hype,” JoJo declares.

The girls say they are thinking of going somewhere “more tropical” after Epcot. JoJo goes with them to the Polynesian Resort, where they get drinks at the lounge and food at Kona Café before ending the night at Trader Sam’s.
