JoJo’s World: Disney Trivia at Animal Kingdom

JoJo introduces his vlog by explaining that it has two purposes. One is to ask park guests Disney trivia questions and give prizes for correct answers. The other is to rank the Animal Kingdom rides. JoJo is joined by friend Kevin Mendez and decides to immediately test how good Kevin is with Disney Trivia. JoJo asks him to name the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White. Kevin starts off with Dopey and Sneezy, but misses the mark with “Angry”, failing the test.

Before asking guests the questions, JoJo asks cast member Tay for Animal Kingdom fun facts. Tay shares that the Tree of Life has over 300 animals on it. Making use of this fact, JoJo spots a honeymooning couple and asks them the question of how many animals there are on the tree. They get the answer right and JoJo gives them a scented Munchling from his backpack.

Moving on, JoJo asks two women to name the newest 2024 Walt Disney World ride. Despite multiple hints, including that it’s controversial and located in Magic Kingdom, they guess wrong. JoJo reveals it’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, replacing Splash Mountain. He then asks a visiting Canadian couple the same question. They know it’s replacing Splash Mountain and it ties to Tiana, but struggle to recall the full name. There’s a cut in footage before they answer, suggesting JoJo finally gave them the name so he could award a prize.

After entering Pandora, JoJo poses a park-specific question to two kids he approaches, asking them what the area inside Pandora is called. There’s a cut in the footage before one correctly states “Valley of Mo’ara,” again suggesting JoJo gave them a lot of help so he could give another prize. He gives them some Ahsoka Tano mouse ears.

Next, JoJo quizzes a group about the upcoming Pixar film release. The group incorrectly guesses “Migration,” not realizing that’s an Illumination (Universal) film. JoJo tells them that it’s Inside Out 2, and they immediately realize that they knew that but couldn’t think of it.

Confused about the lack of correct responses, JoJo tells Kevin, “I’m surprised they didn’t get that. Am I asking hard questions today?” Kevin brutally replies, “Yeah, your questions suck. I don’t know any of those answers.”

As if to show JoJo how to do his job, Kevin presents the next question, asking a group what the fastest attraction is at Disney World. They correctly guess Test Track, which has a speed of 65 mph. JoJo has been uncharacteristically nervous acting when asking the questions, and it’s quite a contrast to see Kevin, a novice, do it so calmly and professionally.

JoJo give the group a prize, a figure of the character Forky, and strangely tells them they get that prize “’cause you guys aren’t trash.”  Trying to make the prize seem worthwhile, he tells them, “It moves and everything. It’s crazy, right?”

Next, JoJo stops a couple from eating their Dole whip so he can reuse the Pixar question on them. They get it right and they also get a Munchling.

Pivoting to ranking the rides at Animal Kingdom, JoJo starts to talk about Flight of Passage being the best ride in the park. He stops short when he sees Kevin making a face at him expressing disagreement. Flustered, JoJo backtracks, stating “Now I’m second guessing myself.” He decides to not express rankings as they walk through the park, but rather to wait until the end of the vlog to tell viewers what they are.

Still, JoJo doesn’t have qualms about stating what is the worst ride at the park, saying it’s Na’vi River Journey.

JoJo goes on to do more trivia with guests, asking them where in the world there are Disney parks, what does Hakuna Matata mean, and what is the newest Disney cruise ship.

Eventually they make their way to Dinoland and the Fossil Fun Games, where JoJo says he has never won game there yet. Thinking his luck might change, he says, “I kind of want to play a round with Kevin.” JoJo buys one ticket only and gives it to Kevin to use on the water gun game. However, they’re informed that the game requires at least two players, so JoJo decides to play too. They go head-to-head playing the game, but in a surprise twist, another player enters the game and ends up winning.

Believing they need to go on a ride, any ride, JoJo picks the one with lowest wait time: TriceraTop Spin. His take on the ride is that he’d rather ride TriceraTop Spin than Na’vi River Journey, adding, “I feel alive on this.” Capturing Kevin’s reaction to his comments, JoJo notes that “Kevin’s looking at me with the most disgusted face.”

After completing the ride and after next riding on Dinosaur, JoJo is ready to do the ride ranking. He asks Kevin what his top ride is. Kevin immediately names Expedition Everest, listing off his reasons – “It goes forward, goes backwards, it goes down, it goes up, it’s fast, it’s a rollercoaster.” When pressed for his least favorite, Kevin answers bluntly, “TriceraTop Spin. The one you made me go on.” Rounding out his rankings, Kevin names Dinosaur as his second favorite experience, with Flight of Passage coming in third.

JoJo agrees with Kevin’s selection of Expedition Everest for the top spot. For his remaining choices, JoJo ranks Kilimanjaro Safaris second, enjoying the length and unpredictable wildlife viewings, followed by Flight of Passage in third.

As the vlog winds down, JoJo expresses surprise that more guests did not know the answers to his Disney trivia questions. Kevin reiterates bluntly, “Your questions are hard. I didn’t know any of them.”

With one prize remaining in his bag, JoJo asks an off-duty cast member what the name of the newest Disney cruise ship is. Fortunately for JoJo, she knows the answer – the Disney Treasure.  For her knowledge, she receives a Disney Cruise Line MagicBand from JoJo.

Closing out the vlog, needy Kevin seeks some swag for himself from JoJo, demanding “Where’s my present? I want something too. I want a MagicBand. I want ears. I want a plushy. Where’s my stuff?”

[3/5]  As with other vlogs with Kevin in them, Kevin would be the main reason to watch this. It’s surprising though that JoJo is being pals with someone who is openly critical of something he does. JoJo has said he doesn’t like when people he knows tell him he shouldn’t do something (it’s not “supporting” him). JoJo even let himself be thrown off by Kevin disagreeing about Flight of Passage. It appears that with Kevin succeeding Nick, and to some degree Ryan, in the role that they filled, he’s given a lot of leeway.
