JoJo’s World: Disney News Update

JoJo is at Epcot and talking about recent Disney news. He says there are spring and summer WDW hotel discounts up to 30% off for Florida residents and free self-parking is returning to the Disney resorts. Also, annual pass holders will be able to enter a park after 2pm without any park reservation and Genie+ purchases will get to download attraction photos for free.

JoJo mentions that he had to pay for parking at Animal Kingdom Lodge recently and he wishes the free parking had been in effect then. He thinks the AP and Genie+ changes are steps in the right direction, making things less expensive. JoJo sees the changes as being indicative of things to come in 2023/2024 and with Bob Iger back in charge, he thinks things will get better.

JoJo meets someone who was at the Star Cruiser that day and JoJo wishes that he could go back and experience it once again. He says it’s pricey, but Disney is slowly releasing more and more discounts.

As he walks through the entry into Test Track, he expresses concern that viewers may think he’s repetitive about some things. He says it’s for new viewers who may not have heard him say things before, like how the single rider line at Test Track is “amazing”. He shows how he’s able to walk right up to the boarding area by using the single rider line. After the ride, he passes the real cars that are on display and says he’s not into luxury cars.

Happily Ever After:

“It’s obviously near and dear to my heart. As a cast member, I would hear those fireworks every single night, because I was a custodial in Magic Kingdom. I would dance with my broom, talk to guests, show them like secret spots to watch it. It’s going to be a great return, and honestly they don’t have to get rid of it and I think Disney learned their lesson. They’re not going to get rid of Happily Ever After for a very long time.”

JoJo says he’s sad about Harmonious ending and the barges being removed. He says Epcot Forever will temporarily return until a new show starts for Disney’s 100th anniversary. He’s “not a fan” of Epcot Forever, citing the fact that he didn’t know half the songs in it. (See also JoJo’s initial reaction of Epcot Forever.) He thinks Harmonious is “awesome” and better than Enchantment at Magic Kingdom. He wishes Harmonious would be kept at least until the new show begins. Although he realizes that he’s in the minority, he says he doesn’t mind the Harmonious barges in the World Showcase Lagoon.

As JoJo walks around Epcot, he shows evidence that the Festival of the Arts is starting soon, showing chalk art and some photo ops of images of famous paintings. JoJo says Figment will be the main character at the festival this year and there will be new Magic Shots. Thinking about the “art” that will be for sale, JoJo admits he always says he is going to buy “art” during the festival but never does, but maybe this year.

JoJo states the biggest news of the day is that Happily Ever After will be returning to Magic Kingdom on April 3rd and Tron will open on April 4th. He thinks those two days will be “insane”. JoJo is sentimental about Happily Ever After, since he saw it so many times when he was in Custodial at MK during his DCP. Regarding Tron, JoJo says he is hyped by the attraction trailers playing music from the movie soundtrack. He mentions that he bought the soundtrack and listened to it in high school. JoJo makes a point of saying that “You won’t be able to record on the ride. There will be a locker system in place.” That’s why he would like to be invited to a Tron media event so he record his reaction to the ride.

JoJo goes to the China pavilion and talks about the Disney parks in Shanghai and Hong Kong. He asks viewers if they think he should go to Shanghai. He’s been looking up flight prices and has a friend willing to go. He asks viewers for advice and information, which some may say is seeking people to subsidize his trip.

In the “post-credit” scene, JoJo says Universal has announced year-round Halloween Horror Nights in Las Vegas. For that, he’s explicit about seeking support, asking anyone from Universal to invite him.
