JoJo’s World: Contemporary Resort

JoJo begins the vlog at the Contemporary Resort, where he highlights the convenience of being able to walk from there to the Magic Kingdom. However, he says that’s not the best thing about the resort. That’s to be revealed later in the vlog.

To provide context, JoJo talks about many things at the resort, including the lobby, the public areas, the ballrooms, the mural, the monorail, the gift shop, the arcade, the restaurants, the pools, and the views.

He comments on the resort’s recent renovations and recommends dining at Steakhouse 71, or at least going in to see the historical photos on the wall in the the restaurant’s entranceway.

JoJo mentions that he has previously stayed in the Garden Wing of the resort, but not in the main building

JoJo then moves on to what he believes is the best activity at the Contemporary Resort: taking a boat ride. He explains that the resort offers fireworks cruises, guided bass fishing excursions, or the option to rent a boat. JoJo’s friend Ryan does rent a boat, and JoJo, Farris and other friends of Ryan go along.

They explore the area, passing by the Magic Kingdom and the new Polynesian DVC tower being built. Ryan, acting as a tour guide, tells everyone about the history of the “legendary shoe tree” and of Discovery Island.

After the boat ride, they head to Steakhouse 71 to eat. JoJo mentions that dining at Steakhouse 71 with friends is the second-best thing to do at the Contemporary Resort. He asks one of his friends, Chelsea, what she’s eating, and she says a kids meal. JoJo comments that ordering a kids meal is a good way to save money, even for adults.

The group then splits up, with the girls going to the pool and the men playing volleyball. JoJo wants to go with the girls, but the men make him play with them. Later he joins the girls at the pool, and in a needy fashion, he tells them, “I won! I won! Are you proud of me?”

To conclude the vlog, Ryan gives a tour of a Garden Wing room, which has a “The Incredibles” theme. They then visit the Bay Lake Tower pool area.

JoJo wraps up the vlog by saying, “I’m very blessed. I’m able to not only go to Disney a lot, but be able to enjoy and experience all of these ‘extracurricular’ activities on resort property due to my friends and ‘coworkers’.”
