JoJo’s World: Art of Animation Staycation

JoJo begins the vlog with a text from his friend Ryan, inviting him to come to Disney’s Art Of Animation Resort. JoJo decides to create a vlog about the day. The twist will be that the script for the vlog is generated by AI. Also, that he will get his friends to help create the vlog and follow the AI script, but without them knowing it’s all being driven by AI.

The text from Ryan indicates that JoJo should bring his swim trunks, and JoJo shows off the new ones he’s wearing. “They’re not as short as the ones that Jete wears though,” JoJo says modestly.

Upon arriving at the Art Of Animation Resort, JoJo says about making this vlog, “We want our friends to do it for us, because we’re being as lazy as possible.” (JoJo being lazy when it comes to making videos doesn’t seem like anything unusual, and using others for content is pretty common for him.)

JoJo goes to Ryan’s room, where Farris and their friend Chelsea are also, and asks Ryan to give a room tour. Ryan gives a tour and a detailed review of the Finding Nemo family suite. This satisfies the second step of the AI plan, which is to book a room at Art of Animation and create a detailed review video.

The group leaves the room and Chelsea finds a hidden Mickey in the carpet in the hallway. JoJo claims that that satisfies the sixth step of the plan, which is to “dive into the creative side of the resort by focusing on the animation themed decorations and artwork throughout the property.”

In the Radiator Springs area of the resort, they look at the Doc Hudson car. That satisfies the third step of the plan, which is to capture the magical moments of meeting Disney characters at Art of Animation.

Ryan talks about the theming of the resort, which includes areas themed after The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Lion King. This satisfies the first step of the plan, which is to take viewers on a comprehensive tour of the resort.

The friends then visit the pool and bar area, where they order drinks and wait out the rain. Ryan shares a tip for checking in early, advising viewers to arrive before 10 AM for the best chance of getting their room ready early. This satisfies the seventh step of the plan: creating a video sharing insider tips and tricks for maximizing the Art of Animation experience.

Next they visit the food court, where Chelsea orders baked macaroni and cheese. This satisfies the fourth step of the plan: exploring the dining options available at the resort.

Letting go:

“At least you know I like my job, because I actually want to cover all this in detail, but I’m going to let my friends do it; hopefully, they do a decent job.”

Back outside, they check out a slide at a playground area. JoJo notes that this satisfies the fifth step of the plan: showcasing the resort’s pools and themed play areas.

The group then takes the Disney Skyliner to the Riviera Resort, where Ryan points out the Peter Pan mural. JoJo claims that this satisfies the eighth step of the plan: creating a video comparing Art of Animation to other Disney resorts.

At the Riviera Resort, they visit the Riva Bar and order drinks. They get stuck at the resort because of the rain and so they go upstairs to Toppolino’s Terrace restaurant to get more drinks. There JoJo is required to borrow a button-down shirt to wear over his tank top in order to meet the dress code.

When the are ready to leave the Riviera, the Skyliner isn’t running. Jess, Ryan’s girlfriend, has to come drive them back to Art of Animation.

Back at the resort, they explore the pool area. Ryan, who always has some trivia to share, explains that the pool used to have underwater music. After dark, they walk around the Lion King area and the Little Mermaid area of the resort. JoJo is impressed with the level of detail in the theming.

After watching a “scary movie” in the resort room, JoJo returns home and concludes the vlog. He reveals to his friends who may be watching that the content was generated by AI. He thanks his friends for their participation, and says, “Combining AI and friends, it made such a good vlog.”
