The vlog begins with JoJo and his girlfriend Krista arriving at Epcot. JoJo says, “Happy Fourth of July! We’re spending the day at Epcot and I can tell you one thing, it’s already going better than last weekend.” He was referring to the problems he experienced and vlogged the previous two days. He discusses their reservation for a prime spot to watch the evening’s fireworks, which JoJo describes as “literally the best fireworks on Disney property.”
The heat of the day is a recurring theme throughout the vlog. JoJo notes, “This is probably like the hottest July 4th I’ve experienced.” Krista tells him that it’s 95° outside, but the ‘feels like’ temperature is over a 100°. JoJo replies, “That’s horrible. That’s atrocious.” As they walk along, Krista tries to stay in the shade as much as possible and step into buildings to catch the AC.
Walking through the World Showcase, the pair participate in a trivia game in the UK pavilion, earning stickers as a reward. Krista is pleased, saying, “I feel like every single time I come to the park, I get a sticker now. That makes me feel, that makes me feel good.”
They search for a place to eat that’s indoors with AC. On the way, they look at Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale dressed in 4th of July costumes at the American pavilion. They move on the Italy pavilion, where they go to the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. JoJo gets the charcuterie board, and the stay in the place for a long time, enjoying the food and the AC. JoJo explains, “Why would I want to go out in the heat when I have everything I need right here?” He praises the Wine Cellar as a “solid spot” at Epcot.
The next stop is Guardians of the Galaxy ride. They go into air conditioned locations on the way, including Club Cool. There they meet up with Kyla, who appeared in yesterday’s vlog. They go together on Guardians and experience a delay, which JoJo likes because he hadn’t experienced it before and because it made it a surprise when the launch restarted.
After the ride, they get drinks at the Mexico pavilion (JoJo gets a special 4th of July margarita) and enjoy the shade provided by the trees in one of the outdoor corners of the pyramid.
The three go next to Rose and Crown, where JoJo has a dining reservation. Incredibly, he was able to get it that morning for fireworks viewing prime time. After being seated, but before getting their food, they go to the back of the restaurant to the viewing area to watch the fireworks. JoJo is amazed by how he lucked out. When the fireworks start, he comments while recording, “This might be the best footage of fireworks I’ve ever gotten.”
After the fireworks, they return to the dining area to have their meal, avoiding the crowd trying to leave Epcot. The vlog ends with JoJo reflecting on the day, stating, “What a fun and non-stressful July 4th. It was a hot one though. Happy July 4th everybody. I hope you had a great time.” You can tell the JoJo had a good time because by the time he arrived at Rose & Crown, and especially at the end of vlog, he appeared to be experiencing the usual under the influence speech slurring.
[3/5] The vlog is good for showing Epcot on a 4th of July, albeit a low attendance one. Also, for one fortunate to get a Rose & Crown reservation timed during the holiday fireworks, what that experience is like.
